When it comes to communicating, people are at the centre of everything I do. I am passionate about creating clear messaging that everyone can access and understand.
I can support you through plain language, meeting accessibility needs, graphic design, social media messaging, communications strategies and reaching diverse audiences where they are.

I have met so many incredible people throughout my career and been privileged to be able to help share their stories.
I am a writer, but first and foremost, I’m a listener. Building trust is incredibly important to me in my working relationships. I want people to feel safe, heard, understood and happy with the end product. Here are some recent examples of work I am particularly proud of:

Sharing your message through my own stories
I write about my own experiences and use them to help educate and inform with humour. I have done this in columns, newspaper and magazine features, blogs and books.
I write about mental health, neurodivergence, disability, menopause and diversity – as well as travel and sailing. I pride myself on humour and honesty and if sharing my experiences in these areas will help you in your mahi (work), I would love to write for you.

Education and training
I deliver presentations on how to communicate in ways that everyone can access, regardless of ability or other constraints, and can tailor these to the type of mahi you do.
Accessibility is often considered difficult and time consuming – but there are many small, simple, and cost-effective things you can do, particularly when you build it in at the beginning of your project. I can provide you, or your organisation, with training that will enable you to take these steps yourself.
